Planning an Outdoor Wedding? Here Are Three Things to Consider

Posted on: 25 July 2018

Are you thinking about planning your wedding in an outdoor venue that's surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful sceneries? Sounds dreamy, right? Well, the truth is that outdoor weddings are truly magical and beautiful, especially if you get the proper venue. The idea of not being confined to a building allows you to experiment with the decor and plan the wedding of your dreams. However, to make this happen, you need to consider a few issues that will affect your big day. If one thing goes wrong, it can ruin the entire day. So read on for a few things that you should keep in mind before choosing an outdoor venue.

Check the weather

If you are planning a summer or spring wedding, it may be easy to assume that the weather will be all bright and sunny. However, this is not always the case. Summer rains are frequent, and the last thing you want is to wake up to showers when your wedding venue is in the outdoors. Since weddings are planned early, it may be hard to make an accurate prediction of the weather. However, you can organize with your wedding hire company so that they can have marquees on standby if there are any weather changes.

Consider your design

You have a design in mind that you want for your wedding. As you work with your planner, you visualize how you want the seats and tables to be placed and styles, where you want the bridal team to sit, and where the dance floor will be located. Does your outdoor venue have adequate space to cater for this design, or will you be forced to go with something different? When it comes to indoor spaces, you can estimate the number of people that can be accommodated in a room. However, with an outdoor space, this can be hard. So make sure that the area is large enough to accommodate your design setup.

Think about other amenities

When holding an indoor wedding, you don't have to worry about issues like the placement of the PA system and lighting because most buildings have provisions for these. You don't even have to worry about washrooms and toilets, as many facilities have them. But for an outdoor wedding, these are things that you have to plan for. Does the venue have restroom,s or will you rent portable toilets? How will this impact your budget? Where will you tap power? Will you be forced to hire generators? Think about such amenities, their availability and the effect on your budget.

Planning a wedding can be an exhausting affair. Make sure that you work with a reputable party rental company for all your marquee, decor and furniture hire.
